[soompi] Wanna One And Chungha Are The 1st Artists Announced For KCON 2018 LA

KCON 2018 LA has announced its first performers!

On May 31, the annual convention revealed that Wanna One and Chungha will be performing at KCON 2018 LA this summer.

Wanna One is a hugely popular boy group formed through Mnet’s survival show “Produce 101 Season 2” last year, with eleven members who were voted as the winners by viewers. They made their debut as a temporary project group last August, and they’re currently gearing up for a comeback on June 4 with a new special album.

Chungha is a solo artist who also originally built up a big fanbase as a contestant in Mnet’s “Produce 101” series. She was chosen as one of the winners of the show’s first season, and promoted with the project group I.O.I for several months before making her debut as a soloist in June 2017. She most recently released the popular track “Roller Coaster” in January.

KCON 2018 LA is taking place from August 10 to 12 at the Staples Center & LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

KCON USA will also be holding a convention in the New York metro area in June, where Wanna One will also be performing. The rest of the line-up for KCON 2018 NY includes Super Junior, fromis_9, NCT 127, Stray Kids, Heize, EXID, Red Velvet, PENTAGON, and Golden Child.

KCON 2018 LA has announced the next performers in its exciting line-up!

On June 7, it was revealed that MOMOLAND, Dynamic Duo, and Crush will be performing at the Los Angeles edition of KCON USA this summer.

MOMOLAND is a nine-member girl group that made their debut in 2016 and most recently released their breakout hit “BBoom BBoom” in January of this year, which earned them seven music show trophies. They’ll be returning with the new mini album “Fun to the World” on June 26.

Dynamic Duo is a hip-hop duo consisting of rappers Choiza and Gaeko, who are also the founders of the hip-hop label Amoeba Culture. They’ve released a total of eight full albums since their debut as a duo in 2004 and have had plenty of hit songs. In February of this year, they dropped the track “Bongjeseon” featuring Suran.

R&B artist Crush has built an impressive reputation as both a successful singer-songwriter and producer since his debut in 2012. He released the track “Bittersweet” in May, and it was a hit on the charts.

Other artists that have already been announced for KCON 2018 LA are Wanna One and Chungha. The convention and music festival will be held from August 10 to 12 at the Staples Center & LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

KCON USA will also be holding a convention in the New York metro area in June, where performers include Wanna One, Super Junior, fromis_9, NCT 127, Stray Kids, Heize, EXID, Red Velvet, PENTAGON, and Golden Child.

KCON 2018 LA has announced the next two performers in its exciting line-up!

On June 14, it was revealed that SEVENTEEN and fromis_9 will be performing at the Los Angeles edition of KCON USA this summer.

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member boy group that made their debut in 2015 and most recently released a special album in February, named “Director’s Cut.” They also made their official Japan debut in May.

fromis_9, an initialism for “From Idol School,” is a nine-member girl group formed through Mnet’s reality show “Idol School” in 2017. The group officially debuted on January 2018 with their first EP “To. Heart” along with their lead single “To Heart.”

Other artists that have already been announced for KCON 2018 LA are Wanna One, Chungha, MOMOLAND, Dynamic Duo, and Crush.The convention and music festival will be held from August 10 to 12 at the Staples Center & LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

[soompi] TWICE, NU’EST W, IN2IT, And Davichi Join KCON 2018 LA Line-Up

KCON 2018 LA has announced four more artists that will be taking the stage this year!

On June 28, it was revealed that TWICE, NU’EST W, IN2IT, and Davichi will be performing at the Los Angeles edition of KCON USA this summer.

TWICE is a nine-member group under JYP Entertainment who made their debut in 2015 after being selected through the reality show “Sixteen.” They’ve since become a sensation in Korea and around the world, winning many awards as they released hits including “TT,” “Knock Knock,” “Likey,” and most recently “What Is Love?” They’re currently planning for a July comeback with “Dance the Night Away.”

NU’EST W is a sub-unit of the Pledis Entertainment boy group NU’EST, who recently experienced a huge rise in popularity after four members competed on the survival show “Produce 101 Season 2.” While NU’EST member Hwang Minhyun promotes with the show’s final project group Wanna One, the other four members have been promoting under the sub-unit NU’EST W, and they recently made a comeback with their title track “Dejavu.”

IN2IT is MMO Entertainment’s seven-member boy group, who made their debut in 2017 after being formed through the survival show “Boys24.” The group’s latest release was the single “SnapShot” in April.

Pop-ballad duo Davichi debuted in 2008 when they released their first studio album “Amaranth,” which earned them the “Best New Artist” award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the Seoul Music Awards, and the Golden Disc Awards. They celebrated their tenth anniversary this January with the song “Days Without You” off their third full album “&10.”

Other artists that have already been announced for KCON 2018 LA are SEVENTEEN, fromis_9Wanna One, ChunghaMOMOLAND, Dynamic Duo, and Crush. The convention and music festival is taking place from August 10 to 12 at the Staples Center & LA Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

Ailee, Golden Child, PENTAGON, And Roy Kim Join KCON 2018 LA Line-Up

KCON 2018 LA has announced four more artists that will be taking the stage this year!

On July 5, it was revealed that Ailee, Golden Child, PENTAGON, and Roy Kim will be performing at the Los Angeles edition of KCON USA this summer.

Roy Kim began his singing career after winning Mnet’s talent competition series “Superstar K4” in 2012. He officially debuted with his first studio album, “Love Love Love,” in 2013. In February 2018, his latest single “Only Then” took number 2 spot on Billboard’s Korea K-Pop 100 Chart.

Ailee is a Korean-American singer and songwriter who has currently released one studio album, four EP albums, and thirteen singles. She has also featured in the popular drama series “Goblin” OST with the track “I will Go to You Like the First Snow” in 2017, winning her “Best OST” award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards.

PENTAGON is a 10-member boy group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. Recently, PENTAGON made a comeback with their sixth Korean EP “Positive” with critically acclaimed lead single “Shine.”

Golden Child is a group under Woollim Entertainment who was first introduced through reality show “2017 Woollim Pick.” The group officially debuted on August 28, 2017 with their first EP, “Gol-cha!” and title track “DamDaDi.”

KCON LA Rounds-Out Line-up With IMFACT, DreamCatcher, and Mia

KCON 2018 LA has announced three more artists that will be taking the stage this year!

On July 9, it was revealed that IMFACT, DreamCatcher, and Mia will be performing at the Los Angeles edition of KCON USA this summer.

IMFACT is a five-member boy group under Star Empire Entertainment who debuted in 2016. IMFACT released their debut single album “Lollipop” with self-produced title track “Lollipop” on January 27, 2016. In 2017, IMFACT announced their “IMFACTORY” project which consisted of monthly releases, mini fan meetings, and mini concerts. Their monthly releases included songs “In The Club,” “Please Be My First Love,” and “Tension Up.” In 2018, the group made a comeback with another digital single album “The Light” on April 17.

DreamCatcher is a girl group formed by Happy Face Entertainment who officially debuted on January 13, 2017 with single album “Nightmare.” The group has since released two EP albums and two single albums. Their most recent release “Escape the ERA” made its debut on the Billboard World Albums chart at No. 7.

Mia is a singer-songwriter who plays R&B-based music with a delicate emotional expression. Currently attending Berklee College of Music, Mia starred on Mnet’s 2018 music battle show “Breakers” as a competing artist. She ended up in top four in the final episode of the show with Penomeco, Hui (PENTAGON), and Seo Samuel.
